Beschreibung:
Built in 1996 for their first owners, the Outremer 38/40 is wellborn for all programs: fast cruising, regatta or blue water cruising. The Outremer 38/40 was the first Gérard Danson design, build at the Outremer Shipyard. This version already was build with the large OUTREMER 45 rooftop, which offers more space and standing headroom in the salon. A rare opportunity on the market, this 38 is a strict original hull design without any extended transom. In fact, still 11,99 m! This Outremer is equipped with hydraulic steering wheel (dis-connectable) + 2 tillers. She benefitted from a FULL refit at the OUTREMER Yard, including a new mast. Sold to the present Austrian owner 4 years later after not having been used due to the Covid pandemic. The current owner expanded the boat’s equipment with the goal to cross the Atlantic, which he did without any glitches, sailing from Portugal to Gibraltar, then on to Grenada via the Canary and Cape Verde Islands. Further he sailed all through the Caribbean to the Bahamas, and he was greatly impressed by the excellent sailing qualities of this fast and reliable Outremer. An impressive amount has been invested to bring her back to best sail away condition. A nice owner boat with many upgrades done year after year and fully ready to sail away into its next adventure. Available 4sale with EU-VAT paid, fully equipped and ready to cross oceans.
