It is Vismara's first work in the engine sector. It is a pilot project both from the point of view of implementation and from that of propulsion. The concept that guided the conception of this boat was to bring to the world of the engine the technological characteristics and design techniques of racing sailing boats. These include the construction of the hull, bulkheads and structural systems in fiberglass composite and the realization of carbon reinforcements, using machining processes and vacuum rolling with epoxy resin. Design The use of these materials and this construction system makes the difference: "BWave" is an extremely light vehicle, which even with not excessively powerful engines, and therefore with reduced consumption and noise, allows to reach 35 knots of speed. A light boat, among the many advantages, glides requiring less power than other heavier ones. It can therefore have a more pronounced "V" hull at the stern, which results in a milder impact on the waves and better seaworthiness. It is a motor boat to sail with any sea. It is also an innovative boat in terms of propulsion, thanks to Volvo's new IPS engines that increase the efficiency of the thrust because they are azimuthal, that is, they are rotary stern-footed engines. The boat can thus turn on itself and move sideways without the use of the bow thruster. Interiors Very particular the layout of the interior characterized by the lack of the dinette, which has been moved above deck and equipped with windows that can be opened both laterally and on the roof for better contact with the sea. The very modern styling of the furnishings and materials recalls the Vismara "sail" style, with painted composite bulkheads and separate teak furnishings. Instrumentation. The boat is also equipped with a computerized SCS control system; and this means that the boat is entirely monitored by a computer equipped with an electrical system, navigation system, communication and entertainment, all managed by monitors. The interior and exterior layout is very innovative, and creates a new type of boat that is a middle ground between an open and a hard top. It starts from the design of an open, which however can offer the comfort and shelter from the sun and other bad weather of a hard top. All this thanks to the fully glazed and opening roof, which covers a space that is concretely external and internal, at the same time. The emphasis of the boat's design is the great livability above deck, where there are, in addition to the sunroof and the opening side windows, also the living room, sundeck, retractable tender and space for jet skis and surfboards. In the interior below deck, there are the service areas, and has been developed through a high design project, aimed at enhancing comfort and practicality of use; all combined with an elegant but sporty line. Below deck there are 2 large double cabins, a large kitchen, complete with every accessory, and two bathrooms with separate shower.
