CONSTRUCTION AND RESTORATION
The yacht is built entirely of wood; The double planking consists of 40 mm teak boards (the inner layer at a 45° angle to the outer layer) as well as the deck and deckhouse. After replacing the deteriorated parts with new ones (steam-bent boards where necessary, as in the old days), the planking was fixed as originally with copper rivets and screwed to the skeleton and hull structures.
The beautiful original teak superstructure has been completely dismantled, thoroughly cleaned and restored, some elements have been replaced with new ones, always respecting the principles of conservative restoration.
The deckhouse windows were the only ones to be replaced due to wear and tear over time, but the new identical elements have retained the taste of the original ones.
The yacht was emptied up to the hull, including bulkheads. The electrical system has been rewired and a new gyroscopic system has been implemented, providing exceptional comfort to the vessel, stabilized and not subject to rolling.
All portholes and skylights have been disassembled, polished, reassembled and properly sealed.
The machinery in the engine room was replaced and the original Gardner engines inspected and thoroughly overhauled.
