RECLUTA is a stunning new-classic ketch measuring 20.36 meters in length, personally designed by the legendary naval architect German Frers, based on a 1942 drawing by his father. Built in 2021 by Tito Szyka in Argentina, this unique yacht embodies the charm of a classic design with the sophistication of modern engineering and contemporary comfort.
Crafted to the highest standards by a team of skilled artisans in Buenos Aires, RECLUTA is a testament to exquisite craftsmanship and attention to detail. Built using premium South American woods—viraró for the structure and cedro, reminiscent of Honduras mahogany, for the deck and superstructure—she radiates elegance from every angle. Her Sitka spruce spars and bronze deck fittings complete the classic aesthetic.
Designed for both performance and beauty, RECLUTA has actively participated in prestigious classic regattas such as Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez, Régates Royales de Cannes, Palma de Mallorca, Mahon, Antibes, and Argentario Sailing Week. With a light displacement of 33 tons, a fractional ketch rig, and a lifting keel (draft 2.36m to 4.50m), she offers both agility and access to shallow waters—a rare feature among classic yachts.
The interior is warm, open, and highly functional, offering accommodations for up to 9 guests in 3 cabins, including an aft owner's suite with en-suite bathroom, two convertible guest cabins forward, and a crew cabin with independent deck access. The saloon features two large sofas, an adjustable dining table, and an open-plan galley, all designed to maximize comfort on board.
RECLUTA is equipped for autonomous cruising, featuring a lithium-ion battery bank, SCHENKER 80 l/h watermaker, C-Zone electrical control system, and state-of-the-art B&G and SAILMON navigation electronics. Her deck is fully outfitted with custom bronze winches, twin coffee grinders, a MUIR electric windlass, and a folding carbon gangway with teak surface.
