N°16 of the Australian Lock Crowther 57 Ocean Cruiser design. Design category: A-high seas. This 17m aluminium catalytic converter was commissioned and professionally built by the climber at the Bloemsma shipyard, Makkum NL. The hulls are excellently finished and painted without a spatula. Commissioned in 1992. Hull and deck in AL MG 4.5 aluminium, insulation: 50mm polyurethane foamed. With a length of 16.95m and a width of 8.60m, only 12t empty weight! Interiors completely insulated using the injection molding process (50mm polyurethane), a total of approx. 20m³ foam volume. Circumferential railing 1m high, outside + inside steering position and complete equipment for long travel. Since commissioning, the owner has sailed the cat in all weathers on the North Sea, Baltic Sea, Atlantic and Mediterranean Seas. Sea behavior and sailing characteristics are absolutely convincing due to the low displacement and the elegant, as well as harmonious lines of this Lock Crowther design. The German first owner offers his cat for sale, as he has decided to retire from active sea sailing for reasons of age. This well-proven one-handed ocean cruiser can be viewed and taken over directly on the North Sea from July 2023 after refit.
