Owned by the same owner since new and offered VAT Not Paid, this 1988 Kaufman 49 is a rare blue-water offshore cruiser designed by F. Michael Kaufman & Robert Ladd and built by the renowned Ta Chiao shipyard in Taiwan. Often referred to as the "Taiwan Swan", she is recognised for exceptional structural strength, heavy-weather capability and long-distance cruising performance.

Powered by a Perkins Prima Turbocharged 80 HP shaft-drive diesel engine, fully overhauled in September 2025, she has approximately 10 engine hours since overhaul at the time of listing. Major mechanical works completed in November 2025 include a renewed turbocharger, renewed cylinder head, renewed exhaust elbow and comprehensive servicing. Additional equipment includes a Mase generator, Brookes & Gatehouse navigation system, MaxProp feathering propeller, electric windlass and cutter rig.

Accommodation for up to eight guests in four cabins with two bathrooms, together with exceptionally large fuel and freshwater capacities, makes her particularly suitable for serious offshore cruising and liveaboard use.
