Built in 1984 by Uphams to a design by C.R. Holman on a Tyler moulding. White painted GRP hull with cove line. White painted GRP superstructure with non-slip paint to deck. Long keel with encapsulated lead ballast. Keel hung rudder. Tiller steering. Aft self draining cockpit. A new rudder was manufactured by Woodrolfe Boatyard 2002. In her present ownership for 19 years, Samuru has been lovingly maintained and continually upgraded by an experienced and knowledgeable owner and is now only for sale due to his advancing years and ill health. There is a file of invoices to demonstrate this history of care and in 2010, a surveyor commented that the boat was found to be in excellent condition overall with no significant defects found.
