Owner speaks : After many years of semi-open sea sailing, first under sail and then under motor, we decided to call it a day. However, we missed the sea...so we took over a smaller boat (Antarès 7) which quickly proved to be too cramped, which is why we switched to the Antares 9. When it came to life in port, we appreciated the well-adapted layout, with good-sized cabins, an ergonomic bathroom with shower, a functional galley (given the size of the boat) and a well-sized cockpit offering, with the full awning, a very pleasant living space, even in gloomy weather. There's also a large cockpit locker and plenty of storage space, including high side cabinets in the forward cabin. When sailing, you'll appreciate the comfortable helm station, combined with a comfortable crew bench seat and excellent visibility. A side door also provides convenient access to the outside, with a rare capacity for ventilation that is much appreciated by the pilot on sunny days. An excellent hull makes for serene sailing, with reasonable fuel consumption at 6-7 kts and 20-22 kts and a high top speed of 38 kts. We sailed from La Rochelle to Loctudy in complete safety and, when the sea state was favourable, enjoyed satisfactory average speeds of over 20 knots.
