Produced by artisan amateur construction carefully made in Marseille in 1985, Khaya is a cruise-regatta type sailboat whose epoxy moulded wood hull shows a solid construction and ensures good seakeeping. Equipped with a thin and deep keel combined with a separate rudder, it offers precise and pleasant navigation at the helm. Its low and slender lines give it an elegant silhouette, imbued with the charm of its time.
Inside, the space remains simple but warm, with exposed woodwork reminiscent of the authenticity of traditional sailboats. The cockpit, intimate, allows the skipper to be as close as possible to the sensations and the marine environment.
Its name, Khaya, meaning "mahogany", reflects the spirit of the boat: a sailboat with an assertive character, steeped in history, intended for enthusiasts wishing to appropriate an authentic boat and continue its evolution through new sailing projects.
