The Dufour 48 Catamarans has a perfect balance between the deck plan, the cockpit space, the roof and the foredeck divided by 1/3 of the total length.
The large portion of the roof differs from the models in the category and offers the thought of a very large living area space. It is, in fact, testimony to a balanced project in terms of outdoor and indoor spaces, developed to offer maximum comfort in all seasons.
At the front are two exceptional sunbathing areas, separated by a large storage box and anchor well. Designed for the owner who wants to live on board all year round. The Dufour Catamarans 48 offers a truly spacious and convivial stay. The galley, connected to the cockpit, is perfectly equipped and ergonomic, with its numerous compartments allows storage adequate to the capacity on board.
At the front, the chart table is equipped with a repeater screen and an autopilot control with joystick, to control the boat from the inside.
The dinette, which can be modulated in 3 positions – low table – dining table – double bed – with the seats cleverly stored in the central furniture to maintain a cleaner space. The large 360° window facing the sea ensures light and ventilation. The lockers are varied and well thought out, with drawers, to insert every need.
The Dufour 48 Catamarans flybridge is a key element of this project. Developed as a second cockpit, it significantly expands the outdoor living space.
Traffic is ideal with access from two staircases: through the cockpit from starboard and the walkways from the left.
The Dufour 48 has 124 m2 of narrow upwind sail area, with 72 m2 of mainsail and 42 m2 of jib, a combination that makes it easy to control in any situation, even with a small crew. In addition, the sloping boom, which is very popular on Dufour monohulls, facilitates lowering and secures the crew on the fly bridge.
