Description:
This Catana 47 Carbon N°44, a most renowned performance design by Christophe Barreau, combines outstanding sailing abilities with exceptional structural rigidity, true single-handed capability, and impressive onboard comfort. This high-performance blue-water cruiser has successfully completed two full Atlantic Circles and returned safely to the Mediterranean in 2025, bringing her owner and family home without incident.
She is perfectly equipped for a safe, autonomous, and comfortable life aboard on long-distance voyages. The yacht has never been chartered and has only been sailed privately by her current and previous owners. Independence from shore infrastructure is ensured by a watermaker, solar panels, and a modern lithium battery bank.
For maximum safety and redundancy, Aquila is equipped with two fully independent autopilot systems, as well as Starlink satellite internet and an Iridium GO! system, providing reliable global communications both offshore and at anchor.
Aquila returned from her Atlantic circumnavigation with the owner and his family at the end of August 2025. All equipment, excluding the family's personal belongings, remains on board. In particular, the complete safety equipment required by ARC regulations is included. The galley is fully equipped, and a large and well-organized inventory of spare parts is available.
The engines and sail drives were completely overhauled in December 2025. This superb Catana 47 Carbon is presented in mint condition, freshly prepared and ready for her next blue-water adventure.
Currently stored ashore near Marseilles, France, and available for viewings by appointment.
