Unique, rarity, a stylish mahogany wood keel dinghy,

designed by the yacht designer Yiannis Mavrikios, who lives in France. The design is known as "Sarbacane".

Elaborately converted and equipped with carbon mast and boom, quality sails (main, genoa), gennaker boom, Traveller, Torqeedo, and a few more surprises. Ready to sail immediately. Trailers, tarpaulins, etc. included.

TECHNICAL DATA

Draught: variable with swing keel from 0.25 to 1.7 m,

therefore ideal e.g. for Lake Neusiedl and other lakes with shallow water depth or shallow water. Both the rudder blade and the keel swivel upwards when it comes into contact with the ground. The keel can be partially caught up while sailing in shallow waters, the draught is then approx. 96 cm. The lateral point moves about 40 cm aft. Therefore, the boat does not yet become leeward, only the rudder pressure decreases a little.

DESCRIPTION

1. Hull

Form-glued sapeli-mahogany hull with a load-bearing inner framework of longitudinal frames, transverse frames and transverse bulkheads. The hull is planked in four layers on this construction.

- Kiel and Steven

The keel and stem are made of a molded Sapeli-mahogany beam. The thickness of the individual layers is 10 mm. The connection between keel and stem consists of a 24mm thick knee for bracing.

- Mirrors

The mirror consists of three layers of solid wood of 7mm each. An invisible outboard mount is integrated into the transom. To mount the outboard, a small hatch is removed on deck. Under the hatch is a swamp with a drain above the mirror. The outboard engine can be moored on the freed up mirror surface.

- Sword

The sword is a ballast sword made of stainless steel. The daggerboard is caught up via a rack and pinion thread. The Pfaff-Silberblau thread is self-locking and designed for a tensile and compressive force of 5 KN and is mounted below deck between the mast and the halyard stopper. Over the winch, the daggerboard can be caught up by around 68 revolutions.

The daggerboard case is flush with the underwater hull by flexible plastic lips.

The daggerboard case is closed with a clear lacquered mahogany board and can be opened in the cockpit after opening the shutter.

- Frames

The frames are CNC cut from 8 mm thick Sapeli mahogany boatbuilding plywood. The main frame to which the chainplates are attached is made of 10 mm thick plywood.

- Balkweger

have a rough size of 30 x 30 mm and are molded from 3 layers of Sapeli mahogany.

- Planking

The planking of the hull consists of four layers. The outer layers are made of 3.5 mm thick sawn sapeli mahogany and run longitudinally. The two inner layers are made of 1.5 mm thick Sapeli mahogany veneer and run diagonally. All layers are glued together with epoxy resin.

- Deck beams

The frames are all designed as frames and thus also form the deck beams at a distance of 300 mm.

- Plywood deck

The deck was made of 8 mm thick boatbuilding plywood and lies on the

frame.

- Teak deck

The bar cover strips are 5 mm thick and 30 mm wide. The joint between the strips is 4 mm wide. The rod deck is elastically glued to the plywood deck underneath. Therefore, it can work. The joint is also elastically filled. The teak deck is not coated or oiled. Only the hatch is covered with epoxy resin
