Etap 37S – 2003 | Exceptionally Well Maintained | Extensive Upgrades
This Belgian-built Etap 37S represents a superb example of these highly regarded, unsinkable cruising yachts. First delivered in May 2003 and remaining in the same ownership from new, she has been meticulously maintained and continuously upgraded throughout her life.
Etap always offered a product which aimed to be different to the herd. When other manufacturers were chasing the charter market volume, Etap offered innovation and quirky style which appealed to Owners rather than charterers. Apart from the obvious benefits of being unsinkable, they offer massive amoounts of storage in lockers and drawers everywhere you look, meaning that longer term cruising is catered for well. On deck she has two large cockpit lockers and a practical cockpit layout, and her ultra-shallow draft makes her an accomplished creek-crawler as well as offshore passage-maker.
Significant improvements include a replacement engine in 2016, new mainsail and genoa in 2019, and a full upgrade of navigation electronics, wind instruments, and autopilot in 2025, now featuring the latest Garmin technology. In 2024, she was further enhanced with Yacht Legs & Cradle Company telescopic aluminium legs, perfectly complementing her shallow-draught tandem wing keel—providing excellent stability and making her ideally suited to drying moorings.
Built with Etap’s renowned double-skinned GRP construction with closed-cell foam core, she offers true unsinkable capability and carries an RCD Category A (Ocean) rating, underlining her offshore credentials.
“Halcyon” has proven herself as a capable passage-maker and comfortable liveaboard, having cruised extensively from her home port of Guernsey to destinations as far afield as the Hebrides and the southern Brittany.
Below decks, she presents an light and airy interior with well-appointed accommodation for up to six, combining practicality with comfort in a bright, well-insulated environment.
With a comprehensive service history, strong specification, and a wealth of equipment, this is a rare opportunity to acquire a much-loved and thoroughly sorted Etap 37S—ready for immediate cruising.
