The Fairline Targa 38 is a standout from Fairline’s golden era, blending classic styling with excellent offshore performance. Designed on Bernard Olesinski’s proven deep-V hull, it delivers a confident ride in varied conditions. Offering a sociable cockpit and practical accommodation, it suits day boating or extended cruising. Its build quality, smart layout and enduring design keep it highly sought-after today.
The Fairline Targa 38 is widely regarded as one of the finest sports cruisers of the 1990s, combining timeless styling, exceptional build quality and outstanding offshore performance. Designed on Bernard Olesinski's renowned deep-V hull, the Targa 38 remains a benchmark for comfortable, capable cruising and is as desirable today as when first launched.
"Impulse" is a particularly appealing example, benefitting from twin Volvo Penta KAD44 260hp diesel engines and Duoprop outdrives, both replaced in 2005. With approximately 800 hours recorded and regular servicing by Dickies Marine, including engine and drive servicing completed in February 2025, she offers an excellent blend of performance, reliability and value.
The spacious cockpit is designed for entertaining, featuring generous wraparound seating, a wet bar, comfortable helm position and a large sunbed area. Below decks, the accommodation is bright and inviting, sleeping up to six guests in two separate cabins plus a convertible saloon. The forward owner's cabin offers a centreline double berth, whilst the versatile mid-cabin can be configured as either a double or twin. A well-equipped galley, separate shower compartment and diesel heating make her equally suited to weekends away or extended cruising.
Additional features include bow thruster, generator, diesel heating, trim tabs, recently replaced batteries, shore power system and extensive storage throughout. Cruising comfortably at around 25 knots and capable of approximately 32 knots, the Targa 38 continues to deliver the exhilarating performance for which Fairline became famous.
With her striking colour scheme, upgraded machinery and excellent presentation, "Impulse" represents a rare opportunity to acquire one of Fairline's most enduring and respected sports cruisers.
