The luxurious VanDutch 55 is a landmark model in the company’s legacy. Its distinctive profile is reminiscent of the original VanDutch 40, including the unmistakable vertical bow and minimalistic deck lines, but with enhanced volume and interior capacity.
Naval architecture from Frank Mulder ensures the VanDutch 55 stakes its claim as one of the best performing, most cutting-edge motor boats in its size range. On the foredeck, vast sunbathing and lounging areas are available, while the cockpit enjoys expanded dining spaces and an electric Bimini.
Below deck, the VanDutch 55 provides accommodation for up to six guests, making it a fantastic boat for longer-range coastal cruising and the flagship in the VanDutch family.
Manufacturer Provided Description
The VanDutch 55 majestically shows the outline of the VanDutch 40. Masterfully taken from the Frank Mulder Design office, the naval architectural design retakes the silhouette and notably the straight bow, in which prevails the VanDutch 40's success.
Benefiting from the extension in length of 55 feet, the deck offers many more amenities than on the VanDutch 40, including its immense sun bathing area in the back, an exterior retractable dining zone perfectly protected by the expansive windshield, and the new addition of an electric bimini.

Main Deck
Accessing VONGOLE’s main deck by her transoms centerline swim ladder moored just outside of your favorite anchorage would certaintly be ideal…but boarding the transom via floating dock, or by stepping onto her full-walkaround side decks can work as well. Being that her splinter-less Esthec decks are fitted seamlessly w/ flush-deck hatches, pop-up cleats, and even a pop-up running light…mobility throughout her main deck is not only safe, but aesthetically pleasing.
Taking a step-up from her swim platform, you’re immediately greeted by an enormous aft-facing sunpad suitable enough for 6-8 guests seated around a spread of hors d’oeuvre, or 4-6 guests wanting to comfortably layout for a suntan. Just forward, you’ll find the main deck’s conversation pit w/ seating for 8-12 guests recessed beneath an enormous windscreen that surrounds her removable cockpit table generously equipped w/ 9 cupholders, centerline.
The port/starboard aft-facing backrest of this conversation pit, also serves as the backrest for both forward-facing setees to port & starboard that offer seating for the main helm (Port Side), and additional seating (Starboard Side) for owners/guests wanting to gaze across the foredeck in alignment with the ships course.
While VONGOLE is not underway, access to her machinery space (underneath the aft sunpad) is revealed by the touch of a button from the main helm, and a secondary machinery space housing her ground tackle is found far forward on the foredeck. Her vast foredeck can serve as a place for guests in need of taking a quick phone call, or just some quiet time in general. The U-Shaped windscreen is quite effective in dampening music and/or chatte
